PRANJANI ZOVU TRAMPA: VEROVALI SMO U TEBE I KADA SI GUBIO – DA LI MU JE JANKOVIĆEVA ČUTURICA DONELA SREĆU?

Ravnogorci, gorštaci i domaćini sa Suvobora upućuju poziv predsedniku Sjedinjenih Američkih Država Donaldu Trampu da poseti Pranjane i bude gost Sabora violinista Srbije.

 

Iz sela u kojem su srpski seljaci pre više od osam decenija rizikovali svoje živote da bi spasli američke pilote poručuju: „Ovde niste stranac. Ovde ste među prijateljima.”

Mogući dolazak Donalda Trampa u Srbiju ponovo je otvorio pitanje koje se pod Suvoborom postavlja godinama: ako američki predsednik dođe u našu zemlju, postoji li mesto koje snažnije i časnije govori o prijateljstvu srpskog i američkog naroda od Pranjana?

Zato će Saborski odbor, na čelu sa Dejanom Kovačevićem, zajedno sa autorom Sabora violinista Srbije Gvozdenom Nikolićem, uputiti zvaničan dopis predsedniku Trampu preko Ambasade Sjedinjenih Američkih Država. Poziv je jednostavan i iskren — da dođe među ravnogorce i planince, na zemlju na kojoj se prijateljstvo nije dokazivalo govorima, već hlebom, skrovištem i sopstvenim životom.

To je mesto na kojem su 1944. godine meštani, uz pripadnike Jugoslovenske vojske u otadžbini, skrivali, hranili i čuvali oborene američke i savezničke vazduhoplovce. Na Galovića polju podignuta je improvizovana pista sa koje su avioni odnosili spasene pilote — u operaciji koja je ostala jedan od najsnažnijih simbola srpsko-američkog ratnog savezništva.  

Tamo se nije pitalo ko je bogat, ko je moćan i kakva će politika sutra vladati svetom. Pitalo se samo jedno: kako sačuvati čoveka kojem je život ugrožen.

VEROVALI SU U NJEGA I KADA JE GUBIO, STARINA JANKOVIĆ VIDEO BOLJE BUDUČNOST OD ANALITIČARA

Pranjanci su Donalda Trampa pozivali još 2020. godine. Tada je američkom ambasadoru Entoniju Godfriju uručeno pismo meštana deset suvoborskih sela sa željom da predsednik SAD poseti kraj u kojem su spasavani njegovi sunarodnici.
 

Na obeležavanju godišnjice Misije „Halijard” iste godine, starina Radoljub Janković, tada devedesetogodišnjak i živi svedok događaja iz 1944, predao je ambasadoru drvenu čuturicu  domaće rakije namenjenu Donaldu Trampu. Poručio je da srpski i američki narod treba da ostanu prijatelji za sva vremena.  

U Pranjanima je ostala zapamćena i njegova poruka Trampu, izgovorena domaćinski, gotovo proročki:

„I ako izgubiš, ponovo ćeš pobediti. A ovde si uvek dobro došao.”

Tramp je na izborima 2020. godine zaista izgubio od Džozefa Bajdena, rezultatom 306 prema 232 elektorska glasa. Četiri godine kasnije vratio se i ponovo osvojio Belu kuću, postavši 47. predsednik Sjedinjenih Američkih Država.  

Zato danas pod Suvoborom sa osmehom kažu da je stari Janković možda video dalje od mnogih političkih analitičara.

Nije to bilo proricanje iz knjiga, već vera jednog srpskog seljaka koji je još kao četrnaestogodišnji dečak gledao američke pilote kako odlaze sa livade koju je narod pretvorio u aerodrom. On nije govorio jezikom diplomatije. Govorio je jezikom domaćina — kad nekoga primiš u kuću i pružiš mu ruku, prijateljstvo se ne menja posle prvog poraza.

UMESTO RATNIH AVIONA, DANAS LETI ZVUK VIOLINE

Nekada su se nad Galovića poljem čuli motori savezničkih aviona. Ovog leta Pranjanima će odjekivati violine.

Upravo zato poziv Trampu da dođe na Sabor violinista nosi mnogo dublju poruku od običnog protokolarnog poziva. Violina je u ovom kraju glas tuge i radosti, pobede i stradanja, rastanka i ponovnog susreta. Ona ume da ispriča ono što nekada ne mogu ni najduži državni govori.

Kada bi američki predsednik stao među Pranjance, ne bi došao samo na jednu manifestaciju. Došao bi među potomke ljudi koji su njegove sunarodnike čuvali po vajatima, delili sa njima poslednju koru hleba i stražarili dok su nemačke potere prolazile planinom.

Došao bi na mesto na kojem su srpski i američki narod već pokazali svoju veličinu.

„Želimo da predsednik Tramp vidi da u Srbiji postoji mesto na kojem se Amerika ne pamti po bombama i političkim nesporazumima, već po ljudima koji su zajedno pobeđivali zlo. Pozivamo ga da dođe među narod koji je verovao u njega i onda kada su mnogi tvrdili da je politički završio. Dočekaćemo ga kako dolikuje Pranjancima — otvorenih vrata, uz srpsku zastavu, američku zastavu, zdravicu i violinu”, poručuju poručuje Gvozden Nikolić autor Sabora violinista Srbije.

Gospodine Tramp, dobro došli u Pranjane — selo koje nije zaboravilo Ameriku i koje veruje da ni Amerika ne treba da zaboravi njega.

PRANJANI CALLS ON TRUMP: WE BELIEVED IN YOU EVEN WHEN YOU LOST — DID JANKOVIĆ’S FLASK BRING HIM LUCK?

Ravna Gora supporters, highlanders and local hosts from Mount Suvobor are inviting United States President Donald Trump to visit Pranjani and attend the Serbian Violinists’ Festival as their guest. From the village where Serbian farmers risked their lives more than eight decades ago to save American airmen, they send a clear message:

“You are not a stranger here. You are among friends.”

The possibility of Donald Trump visiting Serbia has once again raised a question that has echoed beneath Mount Suvobor for years: if the American president comes to our country, is there any place that speaks more powerfully and honourably about the friendship between the Serbian and American peoples than Pranjani?

That is why the Festival Organising Committee, headed by Dejan Kovačević, together with the founder of the Serbian Violinists’ Festival, Gvozden Nikolić, will send an official invitation to President Trump through the United States Embassy.

The invitation is simple and sincere — to come among the people of Ravna Gora and the highlanders, to the land where friendship was not proven through speeches, but through bread, shelter and the risking of one’s own life.

This is the place where, in 1944, local residents, together with members of the Yugoslav Army in the Homeland, hid, fed and protected downed American and Allied airmen. An improvised airstrip was built at Galovića Field, from which aircraft evacuated the rescued pilots in an operation that remains one of the strongest symbols of the wartime alliance between Serbia and the United States.

No one there asked who was wealthy, who was powerful or what kind of politics would rule the world the following day. Only one question mattered: how to save a man whose life was in danger.

THEY BELIEVED IN HIM EVEN WHEN HE WAS LOSING — OLD JANKOVIĆ SAW THE FUTURE MORE CLEARLY THAN THE ANALYSTS

The people of Pranjani first invited Donald Trump back in 2020. At the time, US Ambassador Anthony Godfrey was presented with a letter from residents of ten villages beneath Mount Suvobor, expressing their wish for the American president to visit the area where his fellow countrymen had once been rescued.

During that same year’s commemoration of the Halyard Mission, Radoljub Janković, then a 90-year-old living witness to the events of 1944, handed the ambassador a traditional wooden flask filled with homemade Serbian brandy, intended for Donald Trump.

He said that the Serbian and American peoples should remain friends forever.

People in Pranjani still remember the message he sent to Trump — spoken in the warm, straightforward manner of a Serbian host, and sounding almost prophetic:

“Even if you lose, you will win again. And you will always be welcome here.”

Trump did indeed lose the 2020 presidential election to Joseph Biden, by 306 electoral votes to 232. Four years later, he returned and won the White House again, becoming the 47th president of the United States.

That is why people beneath Mount Suvobor now say with a smile that old Janković may have seen further into the future than many political analysts.

It was not fortune-telling learned from books, but the faith of a Serbian villager who, as a 14-year-old boy, had watched American airmen take off from a meadow that ordinary people had transformed into an airfield.

He did not speak the language of diplomacy. He spoke the language of a host: when you welcome someone into your home and offer them your hand, friendship does not end after the first defeat.

INSTEAD OF WARPLANES, THE SOUND OF VIOLINS NOW FLIES OVER PRANJANI

Once, the engines of Allied aircraft could be heard above Galovića Field. This summer, the sound of violins will echo through Pranjani.

That is precisely why the invitation for Trump to attend the Serbian Violinists’ Festival carries a much deeper meaning than an ordinary diplomatic or ceremonial invitation.

In this part of Serbia, the violin is the voice of sorrow and joy, victory and suffering, farewell and reunion. It can tell stories that even the longest official speeches sometimes cannot express.

If the American president were to stand among the people of Pranjani, he would not merely be attending a festival. He would be coming among the descendants of those who hid his fellow countrymen in traditional wooden cottages, shared their last piece of bread with them and kept watch while German patrols searched the mountains.

He would be coming to a place where the Serbian and American peoples have already shown their true greatness.

“We want President Trump to see that there is a place in Serbia where America is not remembered for bombs and political misunderstandings, but for people who fought evil together. We invite him to come among the people who believed in him even when many claimed that his political career was over. We will welcome him as the people of Pranjani know how — with open doors, the Serbian and American flags, a toast and the sound of the violin,” said Gvozden Nikolić, founder of the Serbian Violinists’ Festival.

Mr. Trump, welcome to Pranjani — a village that has not forgotten America and believes that America should not forget Pranjani either.
